Why it is worth going

The 2026–27 Carnival opens at Meydan on Friday 6 November and runs to sixteen meetings, mostly on Fridays.1 Its last meeting is on 12 March, and the Dubai World Cup follows on 27 March.2 The three feature meetings are Festive Friday on 18 December, Fashion Friday on 22 January and Emirates Super Saturday on 27 February.1 Mike de Kock, the Carnival's most successful international trainer with 186 UAE wins, returns this season in partnership with his son Mathew, with Colorado Del Monte, a dual Group 1 winner in Argentina, bought for Dubai.3 The Newmarket trainer George Scott opens a 20-box base at Meydan, with Deauville Group 3 winner Wimbledon Hawkeye among his string and Festive Friday as an early target.4
