Why it is worth going
The show is built around three major works from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, presented with the Han Nefkens Foundation of Barcelona.1 Shahana Rajani, the first recipient of the South Asian Video Art Production Grant, shows Lines That World a River, a three-channel film about the displaced communities of the Indus delta who paint murals of villages lost under dam water, screened around an enclosure modelled on a dargah.1 Rohini Devasher's Latent Fields hangs three habotai silk panels, each 3 by 5.5 metres, printed with images drawn from solar phenomena.1 Sarker Protick shows a selection from Dhaka 1217, 135 black-and-white photographs made between 2011 and 2026 within a square mile of the neighbourhood where he was born.1 The works are lent by Gallery Wendi Norris in San Francisco and Shrine Empire in New Delhi.1
