Why it is on the list

The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve is the UAE's first national park; only operators it approves take guests in, with guides it certifies, and Platinum Heritage is one of them.¹² This is the operator's fully private evening there: a 60-minute drive with a conservation guide past a lake in the reserve, a falcon show at sunset, then a five-course dinner cooked at the camp by your own chef and served by a butler.³ The menu was written with Michelin-starred chef Claudio Filippone.³ Of the two camps, the Nestled Platinum Oasis sits around a pool with an air-conditioned lounge for up to 10; the Royal Platinum Oasis, a gazebo and palm-lined patio, takes eight or more.³

It is the wrong evening for wine: no alcohol is served on any of the operator's tours.⁴ For a morning instead, the same operator runs a conservation drive that ends with breakfast at Al Maha, inside the reserve.⁵

Book on the experience page, or call +971 4 412 6333 or write to info@uae.platinum-heritage.com; after booking, the events team calls to arrange extras such as a musician, an astronomer or a photographer.³⁶ It runs daily and costs from AED 13,325 for a private oasis.³ The operator uses only its own vehicles and guides, so dates fill early; book before arriving in Dubai.⁴ Pick-up is between 14:30 and 16:30 depending on the season, with the exact time given around noon that day, and the return to the city is between 21:30 and 23:30.³ Groups over 20 go through the team directly.³ Cancellation more than 18 hours before pick-up is refunded in full.³ Give dietary needs when booking.³

Discretion

The whole evening is private: your own Defender collects you, and the camp is set aside for your party alone.³ The car can collect from a private residence as well as a hotel.⁴
