Why it is worth going

Edward Enninful, who lived through the decade in fashion, curates it with five Tate Britain curators and the gallery's director, Alex Farquharson.1 The rooms set photographs by Juergen Teller, David Sims and Corinne Day beside work by Steve McQueen, Damien Hirst, Sarah Lucas and Yinka Shonibare, with collections by Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and John Galliano, and film and music of the period.1 One room includes a graphic depiction of a violent death, and the show contains strong language and references to drug use.1 For a quieter visit, Relaxed Hours run 10.00–11.00 on the third Wednesday of each month.1
