Why it is worth going

Mendieta worked through the 1970s and early 1980s, and her Silueta Series traced the outline of the body in the landscape with fire, water and flowers, recorded as photographs and films.1 The show sets those works beside newly remastered films, early paintings and late sculpture, many never shown in the UK before, and it is organised with the Estate of Ana Mendieta.1 Relaxed Hours run 10.00–11.00 on the third Tuesday of each month, and the gallery stays open to 21.00 on Fridays and Saturdays.1
