Why it is worth going

The show follows a working partnership of more than 50 years through portraits, still lifes, landscapes, painted furniture, ceramics and textiles, over 300 works in all.¹ At its centre is the artists' studio, moved from their house at Charleston in Sussex and set up again on the lower floor of Tate Britain.¹ It is organised with Charleston, and curators Thomas Kennedy and Eliza Spindel lead a Members' tour on 11 November, the evening before it opens.¹ One room holds sexually explicit work.¹ Relaxed Hours, 10.00–11.00 on the third Wednesday of each month, are the quietest time to go.¹
