Three soloists who usually headline alone share one stage for a single night in the LA Phil's Colburn Celebrity Recital series.¹ Hahn, a three-time Grammy winner, plays Beethoven's "Spring" Sonata, No. 5, with Sunwoo, the Van Cliburn gold medallist, at the piano.¹ Goerne sings Beethoven songs, and the three give the first performances of Reena Esmail's new work for violin and baritone, about 30 minutes long and co-commissioned by the LA Phil.¹ The evening runs about two to two and a half hours, with a 20-minute interval.¹
