The night the LA Phil opens its 2026/27 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall.1 Yuja Wang plays twice: Tsfasman's Jazz Suite, then two movements from Barber's Piano Concerto, Op. 38, to close.1 Teddy Abrams conducts a programme built on Los Angeles and its film scores, from Goldsmith's Fireworks: A Celebration of Los Angeles to the Scène d'amour from Herrmann's Vertigo.1 Principal Clarinet Boris Allakhverdyan plays Bernstein's Prelude, Fugue and Riffs, followed by Lope by Michael Tilson Thomas.1 The concert runs about an hour, with no interval.1
