The Imperial Suite at Palazzo Parigi

Why it is on the list

Suite 803 is 150 sqm, with a 55 sqm terrace, and the Duomo's spires fill its windows.¹ It is a suite to live in rather than pass through: a living room, a dining table for eight, a separate kitchen with full equipment, a guest bathroom, and a master bathroom with a jacuzzi and a steam bath.¹ No other suite in the hotel pairs that size with that view; the Duomo Panoramic Suite has the view on 77 sqm and a 10 sqm terrace.² The hotel was designed by its owner, the architect Paola Giambelli, and keeps a spa with an indoor pool and a hammam.³⁴

It has one bedroom. For three, ask for it with the adjoining Terrace Suite and an Executive Room, which makes a three-bedroom suite of 250 sqm.¹ For the highest terrace and skyline rather than the Duomo, take the Presidential Suite at the top of the hotel: 100 sqm with a 60 sqm terrace.⁵ For a suite furnished by a Milanese designer and a short walk to La Scala, take the Fornasetti Suite at Mandarin Oriental.

Discretion

Cars are taken by valet to the hotel's underground parking.⁴ Spa treatments can be given in the suite, the hammam can be booked privately, and shopping is delivered to the room.⁴
