The Delta One Lounge at JFK

Why it is on the list

On a commercial long-haul flight out of New York, this is the one way through JFK that skips the public check-in hall and the public security line. Delta One passengers check in in their own room on the Terminal 4 departures level, steps from the curb at Door B, and a private Delta One security lane leads straight to the lounge.1 The lounge sits between Concourses A and B and covers more than 39,000 sq ft. It has a 140-seat Brasserie run with Danny Meyer's Union Square Events, nine relaxation pods you can reserve, eight shower suites where an attendant steams your clothes and shines your shoes while you shower, eight soundproof booths, and a terrace over the airfield with a retractable roof.2

It only works on a Delta One ticket, a Delta 360 First ticket, or long-haul first or business class on Air France, KLM, Korean Air, LATAM or Virgin Atlantic. Sky Club membership and credit cards do not get you in.3 From 2027-01-19, Basic Business fares no longer include the check-in or the lounge.4 For a private flight, use the Jet Aviation terminal at Teterboro.

How to get it

Book Delta One Classic or Delta One Extra rather than Basic Business, which loses the check-in and the lounge from 2027-01-19.4 On the day, have the car stop at Terminal 4 departures, Door B, for the Delta One check-in, then take the private security lane to the lounge.1 The lounge is open daily from 4:30am to 11:00pm, and the Brasserie serves from 11:00am to 9:30pm.3 Delta 360 members in Delta One or First may bring immediate family or up to two companions for US $100 or 10,000 miles each, provided they fly Delta the same day. Children under two enter free. Everyone else under 18 needs a supervising adult.3 The relaxation pods can be reserved, and massage and other treatments are given by Grown Alchemist-certified therapists.2

Discretion

From the curb to the lounge you stay in Delta One spaces: your own check-in room and a private security lane that ends at the lounge door.1 No gate passes are issued, lounge membership is not for sale, and Delta removes anyone who disturbs the room.3 For work or calls, there are eight soundproof booths. The Serenity Lounge beside the wellness area is kept quiet.2
