Why it is worth going

211 galleries from 41 countries and territories show in the nave of the Grand Palais, nearly 30 of them at the fair for the first time.¹ This is the fifth edition and the first under its new director, Karim Crippa.¹ The main Galeries sector carries the established galleries' full programmes; Emergence has 16 solo presentations of younger artists; Premise gathers curated projects that set different periods of art history side by side.¹ Oh La La!, in which galleries rehang works with a guest from outside the art world, runs on 23 and 24 October, and the Public Programme extends the fair into several Paris institutions.¹ The Louvre's new contemporary print, commissioned from Fabrice Hyber, is shown on the GrandPalaisRmn ateliers stand.¹
