The Carriage Room at Il Convivio Troiani

Why it is on the list

Il Convivio Troiani has held a Michelin star since 1993, and holds one in the 2025 and the 2026 guide.¹² Of its four rooms, the Carriage Room is kept for a single social table, taken by one group for a dinner of its own.³ The chef cooks the eight-course menu in the room, in front of up to 14 guests; the room is named for the carriages the fifteenth-century palace once kept there.⁴

It is the wrong choice for fewer than eight: the evening runs only once eight guests are booked, and a smaller party hears the day before.⁴ For six, the restaurant sets aside a room at no extra charge with its 7 or 9 course tasting menu, on request; for up to six with two Michelin stars, take the Parallels room at Il Pagliaccio.⁵ The restaurant is closed on Sunday.⁵

Write to info@ilconviviotroiani.com or call +39 06 68 69 432 and ask for the Show Chef dinner in the Carriage Room.⁴ The menu is eight courses at EUR 335 a person, with a pairing of three glasses of wine at EUR 105; dinner starts at 20:30.⁴ A booking for fewer than eight is confirmed only the day before.⁴ The restaurant takes Visa, MasterCard, American Express and debit cards.⁵
