The EDITION Penthouse Suite at The Rome EDITION

Why it is on the list

The Rome EDITION was conceived by Ian Schrager and sits a few steps from Via Veneto, Piazza Barberini and the Borghese Gardens.¹ Of its 91 rooms, two are penthouses, each with a furnished private terrace.² The EDITION Penthouse Suite is the larger, at 209 sqm.³ It has one king bedroom, a living room, a dining area, a kitchenette with its own service entrance, and a marble bathroom with a freestanding tub, a walk-in rain shower and a double vanity.³ The terrace has sofas, lounge chairs and a dining table, and looks onto the dome of San Nicola da Tolentino and the lanes around it.³ Housekeeping comes twice a day, and room service runs around the clock.³²

It is a suite for one or two. The Rome Penthouse Suite in the same hotel is 191 sqm with a terrace of its own.⁴ For a terrace over the Spanish Steps, take the Hassler Penthouse instead.

Write to reservations.rome@editionhotels.com or call +39 06 4524 9999 and ask for the EDITION Penthouse Suite by name. The hotel has two penthouses, so be specific.⁵² The concierge, on concierge.rome@editionhotels.com, arranges a private car from Fiumicino (32 km, about an hour), Ciampino (17 km, about 45 minutes) or Termini (2 km, about 15 minutes).⁶ An extra rollaway bed can sometimes be added at a charge, on request.³

Discretion

The kitchenette has its own service entrance.³ The terrace is private to the suite.² The concierge books a private car from either airport or from Termini, so there is no taxi queue.⁶
