The Vilòn Suite at Hotel Vilòn

Why it is on the list

Hotel Vilòn is the house annexed to Palazzo Borghese, built in the middle of the 16th century and rented by the Borghese princes from the early 1600s.¹ It has 17 rooms and suites, and this is the largest: 87 sqm, against 75 sqm for the next.²³ It is on the first floor over the inner patio, one large room with a double bed, sofas and a dining table, a study, and a private Turkish bath in marble.⁴ The bathroom has daylight, double sinks and a large shower.⁴

It has no terrace and looks onto the patio, not the palazzo. For a terrace over the Palazzo Borghese garden, ask instead for the Borghese Terrace Suite Garden on the second floor: 74 sqm with a 13 sqm terrace, for two.³

Discretion

The house holds 17 rooms, and the suite faces the inner patio rather than the street.²⁴ Meals come to the room at any hour, and staff will unpack and pack.⁴
