Why it is worth going

The Orchestre de Paris comes to Singapore for the first time, and it is the first tour here by a major European or American orchestra since 2020.¹ Joe Hisaishi, Composer in Association at the Philharmonie de Paris, where the orchestra is resident, conducts.¹ The evening opens with Debussy's Petite Suite, then his Symphonic Suite from Princess Mononoke with a solo soprano; after the interval comes his Concerto for Orchestra, in its Southeast Asian premiere.¹
