Why it is on the list

Huntsman was founded in 1849, has worked from 11 Savile Row since 1919, has held royal warrants from British and European monarchs and is one of the founders of the Savile Row Bespoke Association.¹ A Huntsman commission is drafted as a paper pattern for you alone, takes up to eighty hours of handwork and has at least three fittings.² The house cut is the single-button coat with a high armhole, firm shoulders and a longer, flared skirt, devised by Colin Hammick.² In Dubai the appointment is with cutter Mike Deans and senior client manager Krishan Chudasama, who lead the house's work in the Middle East.³ Every garment is cut and made in the 11 Savile Row workshops, not locally.⁴

It is the wrong choice for anything needed this week: the team comes on set dates, and the first fitting waits for the next visit, typically within five months.⁴ For shoes, or clothes to take away the same day, the private suite at Level Shoes is the better call.
