The Royal Penthouse is the top of Mandarin Oriental Jumeira and its largest suite: 850 sqm over two levels, with a private lift that opens into it.¹ The reason to ask for it is the roof. A terrace runs across the top of the building with a 7-metre pool, a sunken seating area and a table for eating outside, all of it facing the Gulf.¹ Below are several balconies, a long living room, a dining room with its own kitchen, a bar, a study, a private gym, a steam room, two walk-in wardrobes and a marble bathroom that looks out to sea.¹ The hotel sits on its own beach on Jumeirah Beach Road, 15 minutes by car from Downtown Dubai and 20 from Dubai International Airport.²

It has one bedroom, with a king bed.¹ For a family or a group that needs several bedrooms, take the Royal Suite at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab instead.

How to get it

Write to the reservations desk or call the hotel and ask for the Royal Penthouse by name; the suite page also has a booking button.²¹ A credit card is needed to hold it. Cancel at least three days before arrival, by 15:00 local time, or one night is charged.¹ Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 12:00. Ask for early check-in from 12:00 or late check-out until 16:00 when booking.¹ The stay includes access to the Club Lounge.¹

Discretion

A private lift serves the penthouse, and the pool, terrace, gym and steam room are all inside it, so a stay need not pass through the hotel.¹ Guests flying privately land at Dubai International Airport, a 20-minute drive away; the necessary approvals are arranged by the guest.²
