Al Majlis at Dubai International

Why it is on the list

Al Majlis is the airport's own service, run by Dubai Airports from an annex of Terminal 3 with immigration and police screening used only by its guests.¹ On departure a car is parked for you at the entrance, bags are checked in and security is cleared in a private lounge, and a BMW 7 Series drives you to the aircraft, boarding first or last as you choose.² On arrival you are met at the aircraft door, driven to the lounge, cleared through customs and immigration there, and your bags are collected and brought to you.² DXB is the world's busiest airport by international passengers and the hub of Emirates, which flies from Terminal 3.³

It is for a scheduled flight. For a private jet, the Jetex terminal at Al Maktoum handles the aircraft itself.

How to get it

Every guest registers once before the first booking; the membership team reviews the details and answers within 24 hours, and the details are kept for later bookings.⁴ Book on the Al Majlis site or write to almajlis.reservations@dubaiairports.ae; the lounge answers on +971 4 504 5285 and the duty officer on +971 50 624 3449, both from 9 am to 9 pm.¹ Requests are answered within an hour and depend on availability on the day, so register well before the trip.⁴ A card is taken at booking and charged only once the booking is confirmed; a passenger the airline refuses for arriving late is not refunded.⁴ Duty-free shopping by a concierge, spa treatments and a wider drinks list can be added, and the team arranges services beyond the listed ones on request.²

Discretion

Immigration and police screening in the annex are reserved for Al Majlis guests.¹ The car takes you between the lounge and the aircraft, and the way to the aircraft is by a separate back door, so you never pass through the public terminal.^{2 5} Guests are vetted at registration, which the airport describes as protecting their privacy.⁴
