The Armani/SPA at Armani Hotel Milano

Why it is on the list

The Armani/SPA fills 1,000 square metres on the eighth floor of Armani Hotel Milano, in the fashion district, with a relaxation pool that looks over the rooftops, saunas, steam baths and an ice waterfall.¹ Facial, body and beauty treatments are given to hotel guests and to outside clients alike, every day from 09:00 to 21:00.² The menu follows three house lines: MU for deep relaxation, Fluidità for draining and Libertà for tired muscles, with a jet-lag treatment recommended for the late afternoon after a long journey.³¹ A day can run from a single massage to an eight-hour programme with a personal trainer or yoga lesson and a light lunch at the Armani/Bamboo Bar.¹

It is the wrong place for a child: treatments are for 18 and over, and under-14s are not allowed in the relaxation area.¹ For a man who wants only a shave, the traditional shave at Antica Barbieria Colla is the better call; for anything medical, the International Department at Humanitas.

How to get it

Call the spa on +39 02 8883 8860 and name the treatment or day programme.⁴ Book at least 48 hours ahead; every booking is held on a credit card, and a cancellation after 20:00 the evening before is charged in full.¹ A 50-minute body massage is EUR 140 and an 80-minute one EUR 200; the full day is EUR 690.³¹ Arrive 15 minutes early; a late start shortens the treatment.¹ Hair, make-up by Giorgio Armani and eyelash work can be added on request.¹

Discretion

The spa is a phone-free zone, and swimwear is worn in the pool, sauna and steam bath.¹ Two can take the couple room together, and the whole spa can be reserved for a single party on request, on terms set at booking.¹
