The kitchen table at Berton

Why it is on the list

Berton has held a Michelin star since November 2014, less than a year after it opened in Porta Nuova, and holds one in the 2026 Italian selection.¹² Andrea Berton trained under Gualtiero Marchesi and Alain Ducasse; Luca Seccatore runs the kitchen, and the menus build on broth served as a course in its own right.¹³ The kitchen table seats two and looks onto the kitchen; it is the only seat in the restaurant that sees the kitchen at work unscreened, and the menu is the one the chef proposes.⁴

It is the wrong table for more than two. The Carrozza table, in a wooden niche within the dining room, looks onto the kitchen through frosted glass. The private room takes up to eight.⁵⁴ For a larger group at a chef's table, ask at Il Luogo Aimo e Nadia for the Chef's Table Territori.

Write to info@ristoranteberton.com or call +39 02 67075801 and ask for the kitchen table (the chef's table).⁶⁴ The restaurant serves dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, 19:30 to 22:00, and lunch from Wednesday to Saturday, 12:30 to 14:00; it is closed on Sundays and Mondays.⁶ The tasting menus in the dining room are EUR 175 and EUR 180 a guest, and a tasting menu is served to the whole table.³ Animals are not allowed.⁶

Discretion

For privacy without the kitchen, the Carrozza table is set in a wooden niche and the private room for up to eight has a wall screen. Private events can be arranged by email, including on the days the restaurant is closed.⁴⁵⁶
