Why it is on the list

Camiceria Ambrosiana is on the City of Milan's register of historic shops as a maker of shirts to measure, at Via Soncino 1 since 1954.¹ The trade goes back to a shirt workshop in Brescia in the late 1800s; the Via Soncino shop was opened in 1954 by Luigi, of the second generation, and Luisa Restelli, then run by their daughter Franca, and is now run by their grandson Alessandro Agostini.² Every garment is made to measure, and initials can be embroidered by hand in the colour, lettering and position you choose.²
