Why it is on the list

The hotel fills one of the two identical palaces Ange-Jacques Gabriel built on the Place de la Concorde in 1758; the building has been a monument historique since 1900 and was graded a Palace by Atout France in 2018.¹ In the 2013 to 2017 restoration Karl Lagerfeld designed Les Grands Appartements, the grandest suites in the house.¹ There are two, Concorde and Eiffel, on the fourth floor, with furniture made for them, a dining room, dressing rooms and views over Paris.²³ They can be joined, and an adjoining bedroom added, to make a three-bedroom apartment.²

They are two of the hotel's ten signature suites.⁴ For a terrace facing the Eiffel Tower rather than a Lagerfeld interior, take La Suite Shangri-La at Shangri-La Paris.

Call room reservations on +33 1 44 71 16 00 or write to crillon@rosewoodhotels.com and ask for the Grands Appartements Concorde or Eiffel by name.²⁵ For a family or a party, ask for both suites joined with the adjoining bedroom as one three-bedroom apartment.² Rates are in euros per night for two and include 10% VAT; the city tax of EUR 15.93 per adult per night is added.² A credit card guarantees the booking and a deposit may be asked; changes and cancellations must reach the hotel 1 to 7 days before arrival, depending on the dates and the suite.² Check-in is from 3pm and check-out before noon, though these suites come with flexible arrival and departure times.² Orly is 30 to 45 minutes by car, Charles de Gaulle and Le Bourget 45 to 60; the concierge arranges private transfers.⁶
