Why it is worth going
The evening ends with Pina Bausch's Le Sacre du printemps of 1975, danced on a stage covered entirely in earth, designed by Rolf Borzik.1 The Rome company was the first in Italy to take the work into its repertoire, at Caracalla in the summer of 2025; it now comes indoors to the Costanzi.12 Eleonora Abbagnato, who directs the company, dances it with Damiano Ottavio Bigi.2 Before it come Marco Goecke's Petruschka and Jerome Robbins's Afternoon of a Faun, in Jean Rosenthal's set and Irene Sharaff's costumes.2 Andrew Litton conducts the Opera's orchestra live.2
