Why it is on the list

ExecuJet's terminal at Al Maktoum spreads over three levels and 15,000 m², with a majlis lounge, a lounge beside a boardroom, a cocktail and cigar lounge, a children's room and a spa, and it is open 24 hours.¹ What sets it apart is the bedrooms. The Al Samaa suite, airside and facing the runway through floor-to-ceiling glass, is 866.71 sq ft for two, with a king bed, a marble double shower, a deep bath and a butler, breakfast included.^{1 2} Smaller junior suites of 229 to 325.3 sq ft, with blackout curtains and quiet interiors, take a second guest or the crew.³ The terminal holds IS-BAH Stage 2 accreditation, and Dassault Aviation runs a maintenance facility next door.¹

Al Maktoum lies 37 km southwest of the city, and Emirates does not yet fly passengers from it.⁴ For a scheduled flight into Dubai International, Al Majlis in Terminal 3 is the way through.

How to get it

The operator or the passenger's office sends a handling request through ExecuJet's form, or calls the terminal on +971 4 601 6453, staffed around the clock.^{5 6} The team arranges landing and overflight permits, visas, customs and immigration assistance, hangar space, ramp parking, cars for passengers and crew, and transfers to a commercial flight.¹ Ask for the Al Samaa suite by name when the request goes in; it sleeps two adults.² ExecuJet also runs a second terminal at Dubai International, open from 08:00 to midnight and through the night on request, on +971 4 601 6363.⁶

Discretion

Passengers wait in private lounges, and the terminal team handles customs and immigration for them.¹ The Al Samaa suite is airside, with blackout curtains and an in-room safe, so a guest can sleep between flights without leaving the airport.^{1 2}
