The superyacht berth at Marina at Keppel Bay

Why it is on the list

Marina at Keppel Bay has 168 berths, built by Bellingham Marine, and takes superyachts up to 280 ft inside the marina; its single superyacht berths run to 100, 160, 200 and 590 ft, each with its own pump-out outlet.¹ The 160 ft berths have upgraded 125 A power, and the marina has its own petrol and diesel fuel dock.¹ A concrete pontoon system with deep attenuator pontoons to the south and a fixed breakwater to the north keeps the water still.¹ It holds the 5 Gold Anchor rating from the Marina Industries Association, awarded four times, and won that body's first International Marina of the Year award in 2013.² It sits close to the city centre.³

For a yacht of 220 ft or less, the superyacht berth at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove is the alternative; that is its limit.⁴ Arriving by air, use the executive terminal at Jet Aviation Seletar for a private jet or the Jetside service at JetQuay for a commercial flight.

Send the berth request form on the marina's Berth page, or write to enquiry@marinakeppelbay.com; the marina answers on +65 6976 4118.⁵⁶ Ask for a superyacht berth by the vessel's length, and ask the concierge at the same time for customs and immigration, the cruising permit and berthing assistance.⁵⁷ Priority booking of berths is kept for members, and membership is only for owners and tenants of Keppel Bay homes, so a visiting yacht books as a non-member.⁷⁸

Discretion

The berthing area is open only to authorised people, pontoon access is by facial recognition, and a virtual fence of cameras is watched around the clock from a control room and a remote command centre.⁷¹ The marina's rules forbid photographing yachts or their occupants with a telephoto lens.⁹ The marina building is open to the public, with restaurants on its lower floors, but Keppel Island is closed to the public from midnight to 6am.⁸⁶⁹
