Why it is on the list

The apartment fills a corner of lot no. 1 in Copenhagen, a building from 1801, and its living room faces the King's Garden, which borders Rosenborg Castle.¹² It has a master bedroom and two more bedrooms for six guests, a full kitchen, and a dining room called Maurice where the hotel's staff serve breakfast, lunch or dinner on request.¹² The same rooms take meetings of up to 14, with AV equipment and a residence manager.³ Hotel Sanders, which runs it, is a member of SLH and was founded by the former ballet dancer Alexander Kølpin.²⁴

It is the wrong choice for a short stay with a front desk, bar and restaurant under the same roof: the hotel is a walk away at Tordenskjoldsgade 15.⁵ For that, take the Royal Suite at d'Angleterre.

How to get it

Write to residence@hotelsanders.com or call +45 46 40 00 40 and dial 3 for reservations; the booking form on the residence page asks for dates, the number of adults and children, and the reason for the visit.¹ Meals in the apartment, a private chef and airport transfers go through the same address; the transfer is DKK 1,450 by business-class car or DKK 1,550 by first-class car or minivan for six.⁶¹³ A booking stands only once a confirmation number arrives, and it is guaranteed with a credit card; debit cards are refused.⁷ Cancel before 15:00 local time 72 hours ahead of arrival, or the first night is charged.⁷ Check-in is at 15:00, check-out at 12:00.⁷

Discretion

The apartment has its own address on Kronprinsessegade, a walk from the hotel on Tordenskjoldsgade.¹⁵ Only guests named on the reservation are let in, and commercial photography, filming, meetings or events need the hotel's written approval in advance.⁷
