The private dining room at AOC

Why it is on the list

AOC sits in the vaulted cellars of Moltkes Palæ, a 17th-century mansion a short walk from Kongens Nytorv; the main room seats about 40 at round tables, and the private room behind glass doors at its far end takes 10 to 16.¹² Søren Selin runs the kitchen and Christian Aarø the wine.¹ AOC gained its first Michelin star in 2010 and its second in 2015, and holds two stars in the 2026 Danish selection.³

It is the wrong room for more than 16: larger groups take the whole restaurant.² The kitchen works around allergies, pescatarians and vegetarians, but does not offer a fully vegan tasting menu.¹ For a room above the city rather than under it, the Inspiration Kitchen at Geranium, on the 8th floor over Fælledparken, seats up to 16.⁴

Write to booking@restaurantaoc.dk or call +45 33 11 11 45 and ask for the private dining room.⁵ For a bigger party, ask to book the whole restaurant; for a business dinner, the lounge is available for the start of the evening.² The tasting menu is DKK 3,600 a guest and the shorter menu DKK 2,300.⁶ The restaurant closes on Wednesdays and Sundays, at Easter, at Christmas and on 1 January.⁵

Discretion

The room is behind glass doors at the far end of the main dining room; a party that wants the whole cellar to itself books the restaurant outright.²
