The tarmac arrival with ASE Handling at Kastrup

Why it is on the list

ASE Handling is the one company Copenhagen Airport lists for private jets alone; the other two it names, Aviator and Menzies, also handle the scheduled flights.¹ ASE has its own passenger and crew lounges airside, its own catering and hangars, and a private security check at the General Aviation entrance at the end of Terminal 2.² The tarmac service goes past all of that: the car that is to meet the party is let in at the airport's main security gate and driven to the aircraft door, bags are screened by a mobile x-ray unit at the aircraft, and on a non-Schengen flight the police check passports at the car without anyone getting out.³ Kastrup is 8 km from the city centre, 10 to 15 minutes by motorway.²

ASE's Copenhagen desk is open from 07:00 to 22:00 every day.² The airport's other private-jet handlers are Aviator Executive Handling and Menzies Executive Handling.¹

How to get it

Book the handling with ASE at cph@asehandling.com or +45 20 68 59 28 and ask for the tarmac service; it is an option on top of the standard arrival.² Send ASE the passenger manifest 24 hours before arrival or departure, with the name of the limousine company or the private driver and a contact for them.³ The driver checks in at the airport's main security gate, Hovedvagt, Kystvejen 16, Kastrup, which the local limousine companies know.³ Without the tarmac service, the party arrives and leaves through the General Aviation entrance at the end of Terminal 2, where ASE meets the car at the kerb and drives guests to and from the aircraft in its own cars airside.² Inbound crews call ASE on 131.925 MHz; its stands are A28 to A34.²

Discretion

With the tarmac service the party goes from the aircraft door straight into its own car and out through the airport's security gate, without entering the terminal building.³ Security checks are done at the aircraft door, and where a passport has to be stamped the police come to the car, with passengers and bags staying inside.³
