The Trianon dinner at Moët & Chandon

Dinner for 16 at one table in the Salon Doré of the Trianon, the Moët family's early 19th-century house on the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay, after an hour in the cellars.

Moët & Chandon, 20 Avenue de Champagne, 51200 Épernay

The Trianon from the Avenue de Champagne

Why it is on the list

The Moët family built the Trianon in the early 19th century, across the Avenue de Champagne from Hôtel Moët, and kept it for private occasions; in 2026 it opens for dinner on three evenings a month, from March to November.1 The evening starts with an hour in the cellars with one of the house's ambassadors, then six courses by chef Jean-Michel Bardet at a single table for 16 in the Salon Doré, each course served with a Grand Vintage or Grand Vintage Collection champagne, and dessert in the lounge.1 The cellars and the avenue are part of the UNESCO World Heritage property Champagne Hillsides, Houses and Cellars.2 Épernay is 80 minutes by train from Paris Gare de l'Est, and the house is five minutes on foot from the station.1

It is the wrong choice for a table of two: every guest shares the one table. For a dinner of your own, the house arranges private lunches and dinners in its historic rooms.3 For an evening nearer Paris, take the Opéra Royal at Versailles.

How to get it

Book a seat through the booking link on the Trianon page; the dinner is EUR 620 a guest, and EUR 350 for children and teenagers, who are served without alcohol.1 With 16 seats an evening and three evenings a month, book well ahead.1 Give allergies and dietary needs when booking; non-alcoholic pairings are available on request.1 Guests meet at 17:50 at the visitor centre in Hôtel Moët and are walked across the avenue after the cellar tour; the evening ends at 23:00.1 Dress is smart; a jacket is not required.1 For a private party, use the house's event enquiry on its visit page.3

Discretion

The table is shared with up to 15 other guests, so the evening is not private; a party that wants a room to itself books a private dinner with the house instead.13 The dining room is on the ground floor and a lift reaches the cellars, so guests who need step-free access can ask for it when booking.1
