The private jet terminal at Roskilde Airport

Why it is on the list

Roskilde is owned and run by Copenhagen Airports, the company behind Kastrup, but it carries no airline traffic of any size: it is open day and night, clears customs and immigration for international flights, and serves mostly business jets, air taxis and flight schools.¹ The airport lists no slots and no curfew, and full service at any hour.² Its own handling team, Roskilde Executive Handling, has looked after private jets here since 2003; it won the 2015 EBAN readers' FBO survey and was voted third in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the Business Air News FBO Feedback 2025 survey.³ Office and lounges are in the main terminal, beside the apron, so the walk from the car to the aircraft steps takes a couple of minutes; central Copenhagen is 30 minutes away by car.³

The runways are 1,500 and 1,799 m long, too short for a fully loaded Boeing 737.¹ For an aircraft that needs a longer runway, or to land closer to the city, take the tarmac arrival with ASE Handling at Kastrup instead.

How to get it

Send the handling request to Roskilde Executive Handling by email, or call +45 32 31 62 20; crews reach the team on 131.550 MHz, "Roskilde Handling".⁴⁵ Ask for premium handling, and for the tarmac service if the car is to meet the aircraft.²⁵ Catering, from a caterer inside the airport or an outside supplier, is ordered through the same team, which quotes on request.⁴² A flight at night pays an opening fee: DKK 3,000 for an aircraft of 2 to 10 tonnes and DKK 5,000 above that, covering one hour from the first movement, then a fee for each hour begun.⁶

Discretion

The airport's traffic is business jets, air taxis and training flights, with no large airliners.¹ The lounge sits beside the apron, the party is out of the airport in under two minutes, and a tarmac service can bring the car to the aircraft.²⁷
