The Inspiration Kitchen at Geranium

Why it is on the list

The Inspiration Kitchen is a separate room at Geranium with its own open kitchen and wine cellar; it seats up to 16 and serves the same menu as the main dining room.¹ Geranium holds three Michelin stars, with Rasmus Kofoed's kitchen sending out around 15 courses built on biodynamic vegetables, foraged plants and seafood, and no meat.²

It is the wrong room for more than 16, for a short dinner (the autumn menu runs three hours at least), or for a guest who wants meat.¹² For four or fewer, the Fireplace Table, a high table with counter stools beside the fireplace overlooking the dining room and the park, is booked online.¹ For a room in the city centre, the private dining room at AOC, in the 17th-century vaulted cellars of Moltkes Palæ, takes 10 to 16.³

How to get it

Write to the booking team at info@geranium.dk or call +45 6996 0020, Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 to 15:00; the office is closed on bank holidays.¹ Ask for the Inspiration Kitchen: the room, like any party of seven or more, is booked through that team, not online.¹ Online tables for two to six open three months ahead and are confirmed only once a deposit of DKK 1,500 a guest is paid; the number of guests booked is binding.⁴

The Autumn Universe menu is DKK 4,500 a guest. Wine pairings are DKK 2,500, 4,500, 8,500 or 20,000, and the non-alcoholic pairing DKK 2,300 on the English page but DKK 2,500 on the Danish one: ask which applies.¹⁵ Corporate cards, and private cards issued outside the EU, carry a fee.¹ Dinner is served Wednesday from 18:00 and Thursday to Saturday from 18:30; lunch Thursday to Saturday from 12:00. The restaurant is closed Sunday to Tuesday.¹²

Discretion

The party sits in its own room with its own open kitchen and wine cellar, apart from the main dining room; Geranium offers it for private dinners, anniversaries and meetings.¹
