Why it is on the list

Jungsik has held three Michelin stars since 2024, the first Korean restaurant outside South Korea to reach three and the first new three-star restaurant in New York since 2012.¹² Jungsik Yim, who trained at Aquavit and Bouley in New York and at Zuberoa and Akelarre in Spain, opened it in 2011 after his Seoul restaurant; Daeik Kim is executive chef.³ The kitchen cooks what Yim calls New Korean: the signature menu runs from striped jack with Oscietre caviar and wagyu mandoo to galbi and a sea urchin bibimbap.⁴ The private dining room seats up to 16.⁵

It is the wrong room for more than 16: Jungsik can be taken whole for up to 35.⁵ For a larger party at one table, ask for The private dining room at Eleven Madison Park.

How to get it

Write to events@jungsik.com with the date and the number of guests and ask for the Private Dining Room; the same address handles any table for more than six.⁵ The restaurant answers on +1 212 219 0900 and opens Tuesday to Sunday, 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm; it is closed on Mondays.⁶ The signature menu is $335 a guest and the whole table takes it; wine pairings run from $225 to $600, a mixed pairing is $175 and a non-alcoholic pairing $145.⁴

Discretion

The room is apart from the main dining room; a party that wants no other guests in the house books the whole restaurant, up to 35.⁵ The nearest street parking is on Hudson Street between Worth Street and Harrison Street, and Franklin Street station on the 1 and 2 is the closest subway.⁶
