Why it is on the list

Kei holds three Michelin stars in the 2026 guide.¹ Kei Kobayashi left Japan in 1999, cooked in French kitchens including seven years at Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée, and opened here in 2011 with the help of Gérard Besson, whose starred restaurant had held the address; the stars came in 2012, 2017 and 2020.²³ From 2019 ATTA, Tsuyoshi Tane's studio, rebuilt the rooms: the Grande Salle is walled in clear glass tubes and mirrors under a central chandelier, with a Galerie des Glaces, a Petite Salle and a private salon finished in silvered stucco.⁴

It is the wrong table with children under 12, and pets are not admitted.⁵ For another three-star kitchen in Paris, Arpège and Alléno Paris au Pavillon Ledoyen hold the same rating.¹

Book on the restaurant's reservation page or call +33 1 42 33 14 74.⁶⁵ The book opens two months ahead, on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30.⁵ A card is taken with the booking; cancelling or changing the number of guests less than 48 hours ahead costs EUR 300 a missing guest at lunch and EUR 400 at dinner.⁵ Name any dietary restriction when booking.⁷ Lunch is seated from 12:30 to 13:15 and dinner from 19:45 to 20:45; the dress code is casual chic.⁵

Menus run from EUR 195 (Découverte, Friday and Saturday lunch only) through EUR 290 (Dégustation, not at Friday or Saturday dinner), EUR 395 and EUR 460 to EUR 580 (Grand Horizon).⁷

Discretion

The restaurant is on a quiet street between the Louvre, the Palais-Royal and the Bourse.³ At dinner a valet takes the car at the door for EUR 20; the nearest car park is Indigo Croix des Petits Champs, 14 Rue Croix des Petits Champs.⁵ The private salon sits beside the main room, for a table apart from the other guests.⁴
