Why it is on the list
The Ledbury holds three Michelin stars in the 2026 guide.1 It opened in 2005 and held two stars from 2010. It closed in 2020 and lost them, reopened in February 2022, won both back in 2023 and gained a third in 2024.2 Brett Graham, the chef-patron, still runs the kitchen with head chef Tom Spenceley.2 Since the reopening the room seats 45 rather than 55, with a centre table set aside for the service staff.2
It is the wrong table for anyone who eats no dairy, no egg or no soy, for vegans, and for anyone at risk of anaphylaxis or a severe reaction to cross-contamination: the kitchen no longer cooks for them.3 CORE by Clare Smyth, in the same borough, also holds three stars.1
How to get it
Book a table through OpenTable, which the restaurant's site links to for reservations, or call +44 20 7792 9090 or email info@theledbury.com.4 Lunch is a six-course tasting menu at £220 or eight courses at £270; dinner is one tasting menu at £295. Wine pairings run from £125 to £295, corkage is £75 a 750 ml bottle, and a discretionary 12.5% service charge is added to the bill.5 Give any allergy or dietary requirement when you book, along with any wine you plan to bring.5 Check the dietary limits before booking: the kitchen will not adapt the menu for the requirements it has stopped accepting.3
Discretion
The restaurant is on Ledbury Road in Notting Hill; the nearest station is Westbourne Park. The room is small, with 45 seats.2
