Why it is on the list

Le Pré Catelan holds three Michelin stars in the 2026 guide, one of nine restaurants in Paris at that level.1 Frédéric Anton took the kitchen in 1997 and won the third star in 2007.2 The building is Guillaume Tronchet's Napoléon III pavilion of 1905, its decor now classified, in the middle of the Bois de Boulogne; Pierre-Yves Rochon redesigned the dining room.23 Boris Thuillier, the head sommelier, keeps more than a thousand wines and champagnes.4

It is the wrong choice from Sunday to Tuesday, when the restaurant is closed, and for anyone who wants to stay in the centre of the city.5 For a three-star table in the 1st arrondissement, Kei; in the 7th, Arpège.1

Book through the restaurant's reservation page or call +33 1 44 14 41 14; the reception also answers at AccueilRestaurantPre-Catelan.LENOTRE.FR@lenotre.fr.65 Lunch is served from 12:00 to 14:00 and dinner from 19:00 to 20:15, Wednesday to Saturday.5

The lunch menu is EUR 195, or EUR 270 with wines chosen by Boris Thuillier, and is not served on Saturdays or public holidays; the Orsay menu is EUR 380 and the Menu du Pré EUR 450, service included.4 Gentlemen wear a jacket; shorts and sportswear are refused at the door.4

Discretion

The pavilion stands on its own in the Bois de Boulogne; drivers set the GPS to Route de la Grande Cascade.52 A valet takes the car at the door, and there is public parking on site.47 Pets are admitted.4
