Why it is on the list

Jordnær holds three Michelin stars in the 2026 Danish selection, one of three Danish restaurants at that level.¹ Tina and Eric Kragh Vildgaard opened it in April 2017 in the renovated Gentofte Hotel; it gained its first star in February 2018, its second in February 2020 and its third in May 2024.¹ The kitchen cooks one menu of 18 servings built almost entirely on the sea: king crab, lobster, bluefin otoro, Gillardeau oysters, langoustine and turbot with caviar.²

It is the wrong table for a vegetarian or vegan: there is no such menu, and the kitchen can meet some allergies and diets but not all.² Geranium and Kadeau Copenhagen, the city's other two three-star kitchens, are the alternatives.¹

How to get it

Tables are booked through the online reservation page linked from the restaurant's site; for anything else, write to info@restaurantjordnaer.dk or call +45 22 40 80 20.³ Dinner is Tuesday to Friday from 18:00, and lunch is served from 13:00 on the first Saturday of each month.³ The restaurant closes in weeks 7, 28 to 30, 42, 51 and 52.³ The menu is DKK 4,500 a guest; corporate credit cards, and private cards issued outside the EU, carry a fee.² Allergies and dietary needs must be confirmed with the restaurant at least 48 hours before the booking.² A party of 25 or more can take the whole restaurant for a private dinner on any day of the week.⁴

Discretion

The restaurant sits in Gentofte, north of the city centre, rather than in central Copenhagen.¹ A group of 25 or more can book the whole room for a closed dinner.⁴
