The Chef's Table Territori at Il Luogo Aimo e Nadia

Why it is on the list

Aimo Moroni and Nadia Giuntoli opened a trattoria on Via Montecuccoli in 1962; Alessandro Negrini and Fabio Pisani took over the kitchen in 2012.¹ The restaurant holds one Michelin star.² The Theatrum dei Sapori is a room within it: an open kitchen with two long tables of solid cedar, where the chefs develop new dishes.³ At the Chef's Table Territori, a party of two to six sits in that room while both chefs cook the Territori menu in front of them.³

It is the wrong choice for more than six, and on a Sunday, when the restaurant is closed.⁴ For a larger party with a room to itself, take the private dining room at Andrea Aprea; for three stars, Enrico Bartolini al Mudec.

Write to Nicola at nicola@aimoenadia.com, the address behind the restaurant's booking button for the Chef's Table, and ask for the Chef's Table Territori in the Theatrum.² Nicola is the restaurant's director.¹ The restaurant also answers on +39 02 416886 and at info@aimoenadia.com, and serves dinner Monday to Saturday from 19.00 to 22.30.⁴ In the main room the two Territori menus, one by each chef, are EUR 260 a person, served to the whole table.⁵

Discretion

The Theatrum is a separate, enclosed room inside the restaurant, so the party does not sit in the main dining room.³ The restaurant is on a private street in the south-west of the city; a guarded car park at Via Legioni Romane 20, five minutes on foot, is open around the clock.⁴
