The Antonin Carême room at Le Clarence

Why it is on the list

Le Clarence holds two Michelin stars in the 2026 guide, as it has every year since the 2017 guide.¹²³ It is the Paris house of Domaine Clarence Dillon, owners of Château Haut-Brion: Prince Robert of Luxembourg furnished the 19th-century mansion himself, from antique dealers and flea markets, to recall the château.² The Antonin Carême room is the largest of three private rooms on the third floor and seats up to 20, served by the kitchen of the executive chef Andrea Capasso.⁴⁵ The cellar holds more than 1,500 references from over 500 growers, with old vintages of the family's own wines, under the head sommelier Cyril Bossard.⁵

It is the wrong room for a smaller party: the Auguste Escoffier room in the same house seats up to 14 and the Seymour Weller room six.⁴ For a smaller party at a three-star table, Kei is the other choice.¹

Write to or call Helen Desplanques, the sales manager, who books the private rooms: h.desplanques@le-clarence.paris, +33 1 82 82 40 45.⁴ Ask for the Antonin Carême room; screens, videoconferencing and sound can be set up for a working lunch.⁴ The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday.⁴ In the dining rooms, menus run from EUR 150 a person (three courses, weekday lunch) to EUR 430 (six courses at dinner), with wine pairings from EUR 110 on top.⁵ The restaurant's own line is +33 1 82 82 10 10.³

Discretion

The three private rooms have the mansion's third floor to themselves.⁴ The bar and reception room on the second floor is open only to the restaurant's guests, for a drink before or after.²
