Why it is on the list

Shoukouwa holds two Michelin stars in the 2026 Singapore guide, and has held two in every edition since the first in 2016.¹² The chefs are Japanese and trained in Ginza; the fish is flown in from Tokyo's Toyosu Market four times a week.³⁴ The main counter takes no more than eight.³ The private room seats six, for a dinner with guests of your own.⁵

It is the wrong choice for anyone who does not eat raw fish, or for a vegetarian or gluten-free guest: the kitchen serves neither.⁴ For a table over the water instead, take the waterfront window table at Saint Pierre, next door at One Fullerton.

How to get it

The room is not booked online: call +65 6423 9939 or write to info@shoukouwa.com.sg and ask for the private dining room; the same line books the whole restaurant.⁵⁴ Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday in two seatings, 6 pm and 8.15 pm; lunch Wednesday to Saturday at 12.30 pm; closed Sunday and Monday, and on days the Toyosu market is closed.⁴⁶ The dinner omakase is Hana at S$520 or En at S$680 a guest, plus 10% service and tax.⁷

Every booking is guaranteed by credit card. A no-show, a cancellation or a change of date within 72 hours costs S$500 a guest at dinner and S$350 at lunch.⁸⁴ A guest more than 15 minutes late may lose the meal and pay the full fee.⁸ Corkage is S$150 a bottle at dinner, waived for each bottle bought from the list.⁴

Discretion

The room seats six and keeps a party to itself; for no other guests at all, the whole restaurant can be taken.⁵⁴ Shoukouwa is unit #02-02A on the second floor of One Fullerton.⁹
